For students to use the remote conferencing
Students must have access to a desktop or notebook computer that they are comfortable using.
The computer needs to have reliable broadband access to the internet of at least 512 kbps speed.
There will not be any software to install on the student’s computer.
Windows requirements
1.4 GHz Intel® Pentium® 4 or faster processor (or equivalent) for Microsoft® Windows® XP or Windows 7
2 GHz Pentium 4 or faster processor (or equivalent) for Windows Vista® Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 (32-bit/64-bit editions with 32-bit browser)
512 MB of RAM (1 GB recommended) for Windows XP or Windows 7; 1 GB of RAM (2 GB recommended) for Windows Vista or Windows 8
Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 or higher (32 bit only); Mozilla Firefox 3 or higher or Google Chrome
Adobe Flash Player 11.3.
Ports 1935, 443 and 80 need to be open.
Apple Mac requirements
1.83 GHz Intel CoreTM Duo or faster processor
Mac OS X v10.4, 10.5, 10.6 (Intel) or higher 512 MB of RAM (1 GB recommended)

Student Tablet
Update will ship a Windows tablet computer to the student a week before the class begins.
This tablet will have:
- DT6 vibration analysis software
- Update’s vibration simulator software
This student tablet does not need to be on any computer network or have access to the internet.
Update will provide a usb drive and adapter cable so that the student can transfer DT6 data files to the instructor from any computer with internet access.
